10 Arrested at Sobriety Checkpoint

Ten drivers were arrested at a sobriety checkpoint overnight in Huntington Station, Suffolk County police said Saturday.

The Suffolk County Police Department, assisted by the New York State Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, set up the checkpoint at Church Street and New York Avenue. A total of 293 vehicles went through the checkpoint.

The following people were arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated:

  • Courtni Halegua Hale, 48,  of Huntington Station
  • Gino Marino, 39, of  Greenlawn
  • Steven Rodriguez, 25, of  Farmingville
  • Christopher Farinacci, 47, of Dix Hills
  • Carlos Chavez Gomez, 26, of  Huntington Station
  • Ariana Echevarria, 32, of Smithtown
  • William Pipota, 43, of  Huntington Station
  • Jack Blakley, 24, of  Huntington

Paul Friedman, 58, of Greenlawn, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

The above individuals are scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

James Conquest, 48, of  Center Moriches, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired and was given an appearance ticket to be arraigned in court on a future date.
