15,000 Remain Without Power on Long Island

PSEG-LI said Tuesday that as of 930 P.M., there were 15,754 customers without power and that outages affecting service to individual homes was expected to be completed Wednesday  

it will also offer free water and ice Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm at 288 Pulaski Road, Greenlawn.

it said that there are more than 6500 workers on Long Island to help restore service to hundreds of thousands of residents who lost power when a tropical storm hit last week.  

Complaints about loss of power and downed trees and the inability to communicate with the utility have swirled across social media since the storm hit. Multiple investigations have been promised.
