The 18th annual Mother’s Day Run for the Health of It is scheduled for Saturday, May 12 in Northport. The run/walk, part of the USATF Grand Prix Championship Series, benefits annual bereavement retreat for families & the Hospice House of the Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice of Suffolk.
The 5k goes off at 9 a.m., preceded by a kids fun run at 8:30 a.m. The starting point of the race is 505 Main St., Northport, on a challenging course through rolling hills, including 1.6K of the historic Cow Harbor course.
