2 Men Hurt in Melville Collision

Melville Fire Department volunteers responded to a motor vehicle accident on the eastbound Long Island Expressway between exits 48 and 49 on Saturday,  at 3:57 a.m.

The male drivers of both vehicles involved, a car and SUV that overturned on its side, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Melville Rescue Squad.

Two ambulances, an engine and paramedic unit were dispatched and under the direction of Assistant Chiefs David Kaplan and Bill Schmitt.
