Two young Huntington Station men were injured Tuesday morning in a crash on McKay Road, Suffolk County police said.
Luis Reyes, 19, who was driving, and Carlos Garcia Mendoza, 18, were westbound on Columbia Street when their 2013 Honda Civic hit a tree at 189 McKay Road about 2:15 a.m.
Reyes was taken to Huntingon Hospital for serious injuries. Mendoza was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Huntington Manor Fire Department freed them from the wreckage.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the
crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
