Suffolk police said two men switched a bagful of cash with another filled with newspaper clippings to steal a Rolex watch last week in Dix Hills.
The two men met with a businessman at about 10:45 p.m. Friday to buy the Rolex. After showing him a bag with $40,000, they switched the bag for another filled with paper and then left the store with the watch, police said.
There were no further details available on the con.
