2 Wheelchairs Donated for Use at Spray Park

A Town of Huntington employee donated two recreational wheelchairs that can be used in the water, for children to use at the Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo Memorial Spray Park.

The Town accepted the donation from Town employee Margo Myles and her husband, Sean, at the Aug. 7 Town Board meeting.

“We are very appreciative of the Myles family for their generous and thoughtful donation,” said Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci, who added, “there are many opportunities for people to help the Town do things that aren’t budgeted for and this is a wonderful example.”

Sean and Margo Myles donated the wheelchairs with the intention that children with special physical needs would be able to enjoy the spray park, which officially opened on July 11.

The chairs, which have specially-designed wheels, are valued at $2,178.
