7 Gerard Opens With New American Menu

A restaurant with the eponymous name 7 Gerard, officially opened Tuesday in downtown Huntington.

Formerly Jema restaurant for about two years, and before that, Porto Vivo, the the three-story site features a three-star chef, New American cuisine, and commissioned artwork, producing what the restaurant calls a new casual bistro.

John Brill, who has cooked with top chefs including Bobby Flay and Alfred Portale, has produced the menu, which centers on the custom mesquite wood-fired grill. 

The restaurant will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays for dinner with the bar open late and sushi served at the bar until 2 am.

Appetizers  are $10-$18; entrees $18-$32

Reservations will only be accepted for parties of six or more; smaller parties are first come first serve.
