The Bed Bath & Beyond store on Route 110 in South Huntington will shut down this fall, the company announced Thursday.
It is one of two Long Island stores in the chain that will be shuttered; the other store is in Inwood.
The trade publication Retail Leader reported in July that the company could close as many as 40 stores in an effort to turn around its business, and cited the need to renegotiate the leases of many of its stores to succeed.
The store is at the Huntington Shopping Center at 340 Walt Whitman Road.
