Where: The Heckscher Museum of Art

About: With the understanding that artistic experiences stimulate new pathways of learning, expression, and memories, the Museum offers a unique program for individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Specially trained professionals lead an interactive tour of select works and encourage group discussion.

On June 18, their will be an exploration of the current exhibition The Age of Tiffany: Between Nouveau and Deco followed by a hands-on art activity. Enjoy light refreshments.

Where: Plaza Theatrical Productions.

About: An adaptation of Barbara Park’s best-selling books. Take a sneak peek into the “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal” of Junie B. Jones.

The performance runs for one hour and is followed by a meet and greet with the cast.

What: “Beyond Death, Medical Facts, Mysticism And Meditation, with Dr. Matthew Raider, MD”

Where: Huntington Public Library Presents

When: June 19, 7pm- 8:30pm

About: Dr. Matthew Raider presents the latest medical research and draws parallels between near-death experiences and the experiences of meditators throughout the ages, from all backgrounds and faith traditions. He shares a simple, natural way for us to connect with the peace and inner light that people who have had NDEs talk about.
