What: Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra
Where: Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport
When: Friday, August 3rd, 6pm-10pm
About: For the 12th summer, rain or shine, this renowned orchestra will bring music, dancing, Latin dance lessons, and romance to the elegant Vanderbilt Mansion Courtyard. $45 per person.
What: The Great All-Nighter-A Bizzare Bazaar
Where: Cinema Arts Centre, Sky Room Cafe, 423 Park Avenue, Huntington
When: Friday, August 3rd, 8pm-2 am
About: An array of vendors selling records, antiques, art, handmade goods and more.
What: The Tile Club: Camaraderie and American Plein-Air Painting
Where: The Heckscher Museum of Art, 2 Prime Avenue, Huntington
When: Saturday, August 4th – November th, 11am-5pm
About: This exhibition has been organized by the Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin-Madison, in cooperation with The Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington.
What: FOCUS 2018
Where: b.j. spoke gallery, 299 Main Street, Huntington
When: Now through – August 26th, 11am- 5pm
About: Winners of b.j.spoke gallery’s FOCUS 2018 photography competition, showcase a collection of their works. Photography artists were selected by Kelly Sidley, curatorial assistant, Museum of Modern Art. Free.
