What: First Friday Series: “Viva Americas!” Latin American Flute and Guitar 

Where: Heckscher Museum of Art

About: Extended hours, complimentary admission to the exhibits, and, in honor of the Museum’s Rivera and Beyond show, a concert featuring Michelle LaPorte, Gerry Saulter, Darwin Cosme, and John Rivera Pico.

What: Walking with Whitman: Craig Czury and Lois Walker

Where: Walt Whitman Birthplace

About: Reader Craig Czury has taught for many years and has published more than 20 poetry books. Poet Lois Walker is also an educator, as well as a visual artist, and used to host a local radio program called “Sound of Poetry.”
