What: Pop-Up Prana Yoga
Where: Vanderbilt Museum, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport
When: Friday, July 13th 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
About: Pop Up Prana Yoga in collaboration with the Vanderbilt Museum will host a sunset yoga series Friday July 13th. Kickoff your weekend with a beautiful view on the great lawn overlooking Northport Harbor. Note all props and mats will be provided upon request. This is an open level yoga practice, if you are new to the practice, feel free to join us! If you’re an advanced yogi and seek growth, no worries! You will be given an opportunity to shine and improvise your own variations throughout the session.
Check in begins at 6:30 PM to prepare for the 7:00 PM yoga session. The duration of the class will be one hour, with a 20 minute meditation. Class ends at 8:30 PM. Rain dates will be determined as the event approaches. Note tickets are non-refundable.

Where: Northport Village Park
When: Friday, July 13th at 7 pm.
About: Singer songwriters perform at the patio in the village park, Northport, every Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, weather permitting. Fun for the whole family.
Concerts are free and start at 7 p.m.

Where: Steers Avenue, Northport
When: LAST DAYS – Now until Saturday, July 14th.
About: The event features, food, carnival rides, games of chance and skill, family friendly activities and a special adults only area with beer and wine
Admission is free.
Fair hours are 7 to 11 p.m. each day.

What: Summer Workshops For Kids: Drop-In Art Wednesday
Where: The Heckscher Museum of Art, 2 Prime Avenue, Huntington
When: Wednesday, July 18th 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
About: Each week, young artists will either paint at an inspiring location in Heckscher Park (weather permitting) or draw and collage in the Museum galleries. Participants will be encouraged to look carefully at the world around them and have the opportunity to experiment with new and exciting materials and techniques!
$5 per child, Accompanying Adult Free. Arrive by 10:15 am to sign in. Parents/caretakers are welcome, but not required to stay.

What: Museum Movies: Finding Forrester
Where: Walt Whitman Birthplace, 246 Old Walt Whitman Road, Huntington
When: Wednesday, July 18th at 7pm
About: The Walt Whitman Birthplace will be showing Finding Forrester, an award-winning 2000 drama written by Mike Rich (Secretariat) and directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting), and starring Oscar-winner Sean Connery and Rob Brown. The PG-13 film also features Anna Paquin and Busta Rhymes.

What: “Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power”
Where: Huntington Public Library
When: Wednesday, July 18th at 7 p.m.
About: In anticipation of “Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power,” an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum, art historian Mary Vahey shows us the works we can expect to see. Originally developed by the Tate Modern in London, the exhibit highlights the vital contributions of Black artists during a dramatic period in American art and history. Influenced by the Civil Rights movement, minimalism, and abstraction, artists provoked, confronted, and confounded expectations.
