Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced the creation of the Reimagine NY Task Force to improve systems in downstate New York once the state is no longer on pause. The Task Force will be led by the state and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and will be comprised of other local elected officials and housing and transportation experts.
“As the Governor said, we need to reopen downstate New York on a regional basis to protect public health and bring our economy back stronger than ever,” Bellone said. “I look forward to working together with the governor’s team, Mayor de Blasio, Nassau County Executive Curran and Westchester County Executive Latimer on the Reimagine New York Task Force to chart a new path forward for our region.”
