Helping Hand Rescue Mission and Book Revue are working together to outfit children for the next school year.
The mission will be filling 500 backpacks, adding school supplies, a first-day-of-school outfit and books.
Those who want to support the backpack project can buy books off the booklist published on the store’s website, helping support BookRevue while providing needed items to kids. Two other ways to help both the store and the mission are buying a book at the store for someone else, with 20 percent of the sale donated to the mission, or by purchasing a BookRevue gift card to donate to the mission.
The project got underway last week.
