Breakfast Honors Service of U.S. Military Veterans

Dozens of veterans turned out Friday for a breakfast honoring them for their service.

Sponsored by Assemblymen Keith Brown and Steve Stern, and Suffolk Legislator Stephanie Bontempi, the the third annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast brought together veterans from the Korean War through Afghanistan.

The legislators updated veterans on bills and policies affecting them.

Also attending the breakfast were Town Supervisor Ed Smyth, who is a Marine Corps Reserve veteran, and officers from the Suffolk County Police Department.

The breakfast was held at the American Legion hall on Mill Dam Road.
