Burgerology Campaigns for Autism Awareness

Burgerology, a Main Street restaurant that opened in August, is continuing its campaign for autism causes until the end of the month.

General manager John Falcicchio said autism was an issue “near and dear to our hearts,” because of familial interests and because of the increase in the number of people affected by the condition. “All of us were adamant about the need to support this,” he said.

In recognition of National Autism Awareness Month, the restaurant kicked off its campaign with a raffle, and is selling an autism beer, a Burgerology t-shirt and a milkshake to support awareness. Donations go to Nassau-Suffolk Services for Autism.

Falcicchio said “Customer response has been impressive” and turned out in large numbers for the cause.
