SupplyHouse.com celebrated National Employee Appreciation Day with a fan favorite – laser tag and thanked its workers by inviting them to join together and play the arcade classic.
The Melville-based e-commerce company sells plumbing, heating and HVAC supplies invited its employees on March 1 to participate in the day of appreciation, which is celebrated on the first Friday of March.
SupplyHouse.com surprised its employees with invitations on their desks telling them to partake in the game that was held at Laser Kingdom in Farmingdale. Three groups of 40 were split up and were allowed to go play during their designated hour-and-a-half time slots.
“The team works so hard which allows us to accomplish great things, we enjoy being able to show our appreciation whenever we can,” Kari Stirnweis, human resources captain, said. “There’s a lot of planning involved to make sure the day runs smooth and every person knows how valuable they are to us.”
