Republicans will kick off fundraising efforts Thursday for State Assemblyman Keith Brown. The Northport Republican is seeking another term in the 12th Assembly District. The fundraiser is set for 5-7 p.m. at the Paramount.
Redistricting Rally
Melanie D’Arrigo, candidate for the Third Congressional District, will be rallying Sunday at Heckscher Park to support redistricting plans announced earlier this week. The rally will also launch canvassing efforts. The 11 a.m. rally will feature supporting organizations, endorsers, campaign volunteers, and community supporters. Speakers will include Jaslin Kaur, a Queens organizer and former City Council candidate, Danielle Brecker, the co-lead organizer of Empire State Indivisible, and Joe Sackman, a Steering Committee member Long Island Activists and an Executive Committee Member of New York Progressive Alliance Network.

Robert Zimmerman, Democratic candidate for the Third Congressional District, continues to collect endorsements, including from NAACP Long Island regional director Tracey Edwards, Suffolk County Democratic chairman and Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, John R. Durso, President of Local 338 RWDSU/UFCW, Dr. Hazel Dukes, president of the NAACP New York State Conference, Rebecca Sanin, former town supervisor candidate, and Gary Ackerman, former member of Congress.
