Campaign Raising Funds for Girl With Leukemia

Family friends are raising money for a 3-year-old girl recently diagnosed with leukemia.

A campaign set a goal of $10,000 for Valentina Umana, whose father works at MB Ramen restaurant in downtown Huntington.   As of Sunday, donations totaled $7,050.

“Valentina is a strong, vibrant 3 year old, and she will make it through this with a story to tell when she gets older! In the meantime Melvin and his family need to make ends meet. That means continuing to have 2 working parents while taking care of Valentina and her siblings,” the campaign says. “Today we are asking that you open your hearts to Valentina by helping her family financially survive this incredible hardship.”
