Car Show Raises Funds for Families of Lost Officers

Car enthusiasts came together with police organizations Sunday for a car show designed to raise funds for the families of the late Police Officer Jonathan Diller and other law enforcement personnel.

The Police Surgeons Benevolent Association and Centurion Cruisers Car Club put on a car show at St. Anthony’s High School.

During a service, relatives of those lost were recognized. Several elected officials as well as members of the Friars pipe and drum band, school leaders and police officers participated.

Antique cars, including several models of police and fire vehicles,  streetrods, and muscle cars were on display.

Diller, an NYPD officer, was killed during a traffic stop in March. Also recognized were State Trooper Upton Walker; Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Gallo; Suffolk County Police Lt. Steve Surian; Commack Fire Department and Suffolk officer David Pendola, and NYPD officer Joseph Modin.
