Carter’s to Close Huntington Store

Carter’s is closing its store at the Huntington Shopping Center soon, part of shutdown of many of its current brick-and-mortar operations.

The babies and kids apparel company announced in October that it would close about 60 percent of its retail stores by the end of this year, and nearly 80 percent by the end of 2022.

Its online operations at Carters.com will continue. It is not known exactly when the store wil close but it is offering a sale of 50 percent off on its inventory.

Carter’s bought the Oshkosh B’gosh company in 1997.

The center, adjacent to Wall Whitman Shops, has lost other tenants in recent years, including Dressbarn, which closed all of its stores in 2019, and Modell’s.
