The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce is running a campaign to encourage residents to shop locally.
The It Starts Here Campaign invites businesses to work together and join the campaign. Participants will receive a business decal, a list in the It Starts Here directory; a promotion of events and specials; ideas on how to celebrate the holiday season and event marketing templates. In turn, the chamber will promote events through social media to assist businesses.
In addition, the Rauch Foundation is conducting a survey to assess what is affecting businesses and downtown communities. The Long Island Downtowns Business Survey wraps up Nov. 30.
