Eaton’s Neck Coast Guard Rescues 3 From Capsized Boat in Sound

A Coast Guard crew based at Eaton’s Neck rescued three men Sunday morning whose boat had overturned in Long Island Sound off Connecticut, .

A fourth man pulled from the water later died at Bridgeport Hospital, the newspaper Greenwich Time reported.

The paper quoted the Bridgeport police department as saying the 22-foot boat was reported capsized at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Middle Ground/Stratford Lighthouse, off Stratford. The Eaton’s Neck crew went to the scene and pulled three men from the water, delivering them for treatment in Bridgeport. The fourth man was found later, pulled out of the water by police and the Coast Guard and taken to Bridgeport  put on a police boat and taken to Bridgeport Hospital but later pronounced dead, the paper said.
