Commercial Industrial Brokers Society Elects New Officers

Daniel J. Weiner of Centerport has been elected vice president of the executive board of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS), Long Island’s largest commercial broker organization.

Weiner is a senior director in the Melville office of Avison Young, a commercial real estate services firm, and formerly was treasurer of CIBS.

The new executive board members will serve two-year terms beginning Jan. 1. Members were announced at the CIBS annual meeting Oct. 24 at the Crest Hollow Country Club.

Other officers announced include: president, David Leviton, of East Setauket, a managing director in the Melville office of JLL and previously vice president of CIBS; treasurer, Michael Rosenfeld, of Glen Cove, an associate broker at The Rochlin Organization, Melville and previously CIBS secretary; and secretary, Amanda Gorozdi, of Valley Stream, a senior associate in the Melville office of Avison Young.

Current president Kyle Burkhardt, of Huntington, will become chair of the CIBS Advisory Board. He is a senior director in the Melville office of Cushman & Wakefield Inc.

CIBS was formed in 1992 to promote a unified voice advocating professionalism, ethics and industry cohesion among commercial real estate brokers.
