Board Approves Contracts for Golf Course Restaurant, Coltrane Park Design

The Huntington Town Board has awarded a two-year contract to the Dietz Golf Corp. to manage the restaurant at the Crab Meadow Golf Course.

The Calverton company will pay $40,000 each year for the contract, with the option to renew for two more five-year terms. 

At its Feb. 11 meeting, the board also unanimously authorized: 

  • A contract with Long Island Roofing and Repairs Service Corp. of Bellmore to remove and replace shingles on the roof of the Dix Hills Ice Rink. The contract is for $93,000.
  • A no-cost contract for landscape design services for Coltrane Park in Dix Hills. The National Trust for Historic Preservation offered to retain the landscape design firm Nelson Byrd  Woltz to provide the design.
  • A licensing agreement with various sports-related groups to use town property: Dix Hills Soccer Club, Huntington Tri-Village Little League, Commack South Little League, Huntington Sports League, Larkfield Little League, Half Hollow Hills Little League, St. Hughs-St. Elizabeth Baseball League, Huntington Youth Football League, Huntington Boys Club Soccer, Northport Youth Football Club and Cold Spring Harbor/Huntington Soccer.
