The state’s “vax and scratch” program will extend into next week at 10 Covid-19 mass vaccination sites.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said, “This potential $5 million grand prize for getting vaccinated is the latest salvo in our campaign to convince New Yorkers to take the shot, and we’re extending it to give even more people a chance at a winning ticket.”
The program provides free NYS lottery scratch-off tickets to individuals 18 and over with a grand prize of $5 million. Participating sites will be open from Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11. The program will not impact education funding.

The ticket, which is sold by retailers across the state for $20, will be provided free to individuals 18+ who take their first dose of Pfizer or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at one of the sites. The sites are open to both walk-ins and appointments.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker Dashboard is available to update New Yorkers on the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. The New York State Department of Health requires vaccinating facilities to report all COVID-19 vaccine administration data within 24 hours; the vaccine administration data on the dashboard is updated daily to reflect the most up-to-date metrics in the state’s vaccination effort.
