The Great Cow Harbor Day Weekend gets underway Friday evening with runners picking up their numbers and chip for Saturday morning’s 10k run.
The race, which is expected to draw about 5,000 runners from around the world, goes off at 8:30 a.m. from in front of Laurel Avenue School in Northport. There is also a 2k fun run/walk for participants of all ages.
Saturday evening at 6 p.m., there’s a displayed of decorated boats on the village dock, and at 8 p.m., a concert at the band shell in the village park.
On Sunday, a parade begins at noon at Laurel Avenue school. Vendors set up on Main Street open, as do the Newtown rides and midway.
Crazy Boat Races are set for 2 p.m.
