Crave Cafe and Bakery Ready to Open on Main Street

A former shoe store at the corner if Main Street and New York Avenue in Huntington is transforming into a coffee shop/bakery and expected to open soon.

Crave Cafe and Bakery is owned by Scott Grodsky, who also owns the building, and Peter Raimondi. Grodsky said they hope to open the two-floor cafe in the next week or 10 days, serving coffee, sandwiches and bakery items.

“The concept is  a pop-up concept but just a fun place, with a vibe of brightness and happiness, wit a burst of color and not just a coffee shop with earth tones,” Grodsky said. A colorful  blue and purple awning went up recently around the corner spot.

 “We have stuff that makes you smile,” he said. the goal is to draw people for coffee or a baked after a meal at a downtown restaurant.

Both men live in Huntington and Grodsky said he was happy to have a business nearby and a partner with food experience industry.
 
Crave is looking to hire baristas as well as pastry chefs and head bakers.
