Credit Union to Open Teller-Less Branch Downtown

A teller-less branch of the Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union will move into a prime corner retail slot in downtown Huntington.

NEFCU, which has 16 branches across Long Island, leased 2,067 square feet of retail space for a branch at 356 New York Ave. in Huntington, at the corner of Elm Street.

Two retail tenants — Lot 356 and Knot of This World–previously occupied the space at 365 New York Ave., at the intersection of Elm Street.

Though without tellers, the branch will be staffed, said Five Point Real Estate Principal Guy Canzoneri, who represented the landlord, 356 NYA LLC, in the transaction.

Five Point Real Estate Principals Corey Gluckstal and Guy Canzoneri, managers of the property, last year advised 356 NYA LLC in its purchase of the 7,347-square-foot mixed-use retail and office property.  The building has a floor of offices above the retail.

Alison Brennan of First Development Corp. represented the tenant.

The opening day for the new branch is not yet known.
