Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Hosting 110-Home Open House Virtual and Live

During the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses are adapting new ways to serve their customers. Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty is one taking on a new way to showcase houses they have listed for sale.

On Sunday, the realty will be hosting Long Island’s first virtual open house tour, marketing 110 houses live and virtually through Zoom.

“We’re one of the first companies to do so,” Deborah Hauser, chief operating officer of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s, said.

The featured properties can be found on the Daniel Gale website, through the company Facebook page, Realtor.com and online at Zillow. All day long, interested clients can acquire the Zoom URL and password for a free, live tour of the home. The tour will go on for about 30 minutes, allowing buyers to see the space for a potential purchase.

“We have been searching for a safe way to showcase some of the exceptional properties we represent to as wide an audience as possible,” Hauser said. “We are proud to be leading the way in this new normal.”

Agents will be at the residence, walking through each room and answering any questions that the customer might have. While maintaining social distancing and following CDC safety protocols, this new way of touring a home can keep clients and agents out of harm.

“We have a talented group of agents who have been trained to do the tour without a hitch,” Hauser said. “They’re so excited and the homeowners are thrilled that we’re supporting them during this time.”

Hauser said that about 25 homes are listed in Huntington Township and will be part of the virtual tours. Other available homes span from Queens to the North Fork and the Hamptons.

“This is the new normal for us, and with this, we can bring a consumer into a house and answer any questions,” she said.

Although this is a different way of selling homes, the pandemic hasn’t stopped people from buying. “During all of this, we have been putting houses into contract,” she said, all without even stepping into their new home. “We can’t show them the house in person like we’ve done in the past, but we can still support them this way.”
