Democrat Hunter Gross Seeks Town Council Seat

Another Democratic candidate is jumping into the campaign, hoping to win a Town Board seat in the fall.

Hunter Gross, a native of Dix Hills and alumnus of the Half Hollow Hills School District, is a social media consultant  and was part of the team that helped elect the first Democratic supervisor in Hempstead.

He said his  campaign is about “ensuring that everyday residents will have a seat at the table. For too long, politics has only been accessible to the politically connected or wealthy campaign contributors. Today is a new day in Huntington.”

“I have first-hand knowledge of working for local government on Long Island and have the acumen needed to ensure that Huntington will become the benchmark for leading Long Island for generations to come,” he said.

“Three of my main priorities are to make sure that our small businesses can recover from the devastating effects of Covid-19; tackle the housing affordability crisis affecting working families, seniors and young people; and finally, to act on the climate crisis at the LOCAL level.  We must ensure that our township is sustainable and habitable for you, your children and your grandchildren.

“I’m running as a problem-solver, and to move the needle on issues our town has been facing for years. My pledge is that whether you’re Democrat, Republican, Liberal or Conservative, I will hear you and work with you so that you and your family are able to thrive in our town,” said Gross.
