Developer Sends Masks, Meals to Huntington Hospital

Huntington Hospital was the recipient of a donation of meals and masks Wednesday through the developer Rosario Cassata and his family foundation.

Included in the contribution were 100 meals delivered by NY Panini for caregivers, 1,000 N95 masks and checks for $15,000. The family foundation contributed $10,000, while his wife Carolyn Cassata’s company, Rodelco Electronics, contributed $5,000.

“Huntington has been extremely hard hit by Covid-19 and the entire staff of Huntington Hospital has been on the front lines defending and fighting this battle every day,” Cassata said. “I have always had a passion to help those in need but there are times to reward those that stand out and risk their lives to help those in need. Huntington Hospital and all those that have been involved from all works of life are those to be honored, and so I say Thank You from the bottom of my heart.”

He dedicated his contribution in honor of his personal physician, Dr. Bobby Chandok of Huntington Station.

Among those on hand to welcome the donation were hospital president Dr. Nick Fitterman, Dr. Michael Grosso, medical director, Chandok, Suffolk County legislators Dr. William “Doc” Spencer and Steve Stern and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone.
