Dix Hills Accountant Gets Probation

A Dix Hills accountant for a pizza chain that was accused of  failure to properly report income was sentenced to three years probation,  according to a Connecticut news site. 

James G. Guerra, 59, was ordered to spend two of the three months in home confinement.

Bruno DiFabio, the pizzerias’ owner, was recently sentenced to 30 days in prison, the site reported.

Guerra pleaded guilty on Jan. 25 to assisting the willful failure to collect and pay  withholding taxes.

DiFabio’s business partner, Steven Cioffi, had pleaded guilty to aiding and assisting in the filing of a false tax return. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison and ordered to pay restitution of $122,177.59, according to the Westport News.
