A Dix Hills man was killed Monday morning in a crash on the Sunken Meadow Parkway, State Police said.
John Rector, 77, was driving north on the parkway, south of SM3 in Smithtown, when he lost control of the vehicle, police said. His car overturned and struck a tree, and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation and the State Police is asking anyone with information to call (631) 756-3300.
