The Cinema Arts Centre will show a film Nov. 6 about the Huntington arts scene, focusing on the IMAC Theater. And the Cinema Arts Centre.
The documentary will examine the contributions of Vic Skolnick, co-founder of Cinema Arts, and Michael Rothbard, co-founder of the Inter-Media Arts Center. The two men pioneered in bringing a wide range of cultural experiences to suburban audiences.
Local Emmy-nominated filmmaker Steven Taub directs a documentary that features interviews with IMAC co-founder Kathie Bodily, CAC co-founder Charlotte Sky, filmmaker/actor Ed Burns, musician David Bromberg, social activist/poet Sandy Chapin, NPR radio station’s WFUV John Platt, CEO of Long Island Cares Paule Pachter and many others. A musical soundtrack by local musicians accompanies the film’s compelling storytelling and recollections.
Program Event Fees: $15 Cinema Arts Centre Members | $20 Public
