The Huntington Town Board has established a permit system that will allow small businesses in the village business district to reserve up to three parking spots for their use.
The businesses can claim spots in front of their shops to facilitate curbside pickup or delivery.
The Town board at its May 20 meeting approved the temporary parking permit system allowing small businesses previously designated as non-essential under New York State on PAUSE to request the permits.
The cost is $50 per month for each space.
