‘Downtown Experience’ Forum July 12 at Cinema Arts

A panel of experts will discuss revitalizing downtown areas at a forum July 12 at Cinema Arts Center.
The Suffolk County Alliance of Chambers is sponsoring the Suffolk County Economic Development & Planning Office of Film and Cultural Affairs program, “Creating the Downtown Experience.”
Panelists include Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri, who has led the revitalization of the village, Pat Snyder, executive director East End Arts in Riverhead; Stephanie Fortunato, director of Department of Art, Culture and Tourism in Providence; Robert Lane, senior fellow for urban design of the Regional Plan Association in New York, and Larisa Ortiz, the principal of Larisa Ortiz Associates, an urban planner. Theresa Ward, Suffolk’s deputy county executive and commissioner, will moderate the panel.

The Suffolk Alliance of Chambers is led by Robert Fonti, Suffolk chairman of the Long Island Business Council and Gina Coletti, associate broker, Smith & DeGroat Real Estate.
