Easter Eggs for All at Elwood Park

Youngsters divided into three age groups chased down and collected colorful plastic Easter eggs scattered onto the grass Thursday at Elwood Park.

Some took the task very seriously, scoping out where to run, but most just ran around as quickly as possible, scooping up what they could. Many then proudly showed off their haul to the older siblings and adults who accompanied them.

Huntington Supervisor Ed Smyth, Deputy Supervisor John McCarron, Parks Director Todd Jamison, and ranking Suffolk County police, including Inspector Kevin Williams of the Second Precinct, were among those who joined the festivities.

The Easter rabbit also made an appearance, escorted to his seat where he posed for photos with children.
