Elwood voters Tuesday approved the proposed budget and elected two new members to the Board of Education.
Elected were Dr. Sara Siddiqui, the top vote getter with 2,489 votes, and Thomas P. Scarola, with 2,281. Incumbent Becky Marcus had 1,775 votes and challenger George Neofitos had 775.
The $64,443,174 budget, representing an increase of 2.73 percent, passed 2,921-1,064.
Because school district elections were conducted by absentee ballots, some results are slower than usual to come in. HuntingtonNow.com will report results when they are received.
