Elwood school district voters rejected a bond amendment Tuesday that would have added a turf field at the Elwood John Glenn High School, among other athletic field improvements.
The vote was 751-499.
If approved, the district would have spent $2.45 million to replace grass with turf, and would have installed new goalposts for football and soccer, added lacrosse goalposts and accessories, added safety netting and made other athletic improvements.
