Family Service League Hosting Summer Gala Benefit

Family Service League will be hosting a summer gala benefit in June at Bourne Mansion in Oakdale.

The June 7 event is set to begin at 7 p.m. at the former Vanderbilt mansion located at 500 Montauk Highway and will recognize Jaspan Schlesinger, LLP with the Community Leadership Award, as well as Titan Global, LLC with the Corporate Leadership Award, both for their efforts to supporting FSL’s mission.

The Huntington-based organization helps over 50,000 people on Long Island annually by delivering tangible help and crisis intervention for over 60 programs including, mental health counseling, drug and alcohol abuse treatment, homelessness, job training, computer literacy, trauma a counseling, early education and family and senior support services.

“Many of the individuals who benefit from FSL’s services are facing overwhelming challenges,” said Karen Boorshtein, FSL president and CEO. “Thanks to this type of special event funding and interest, we are able to offer a variety of support tools which empower individuals and families to mobilize their strengths and improve the quality of their lives.”

Tickets are available for $350 in advance and will include dinner, dancing and raffles. Gala sponsorships are available and tables of 10 start at $3,000. Proceeds will support FSL’s programs across Long Island.
