The restaurant Famous Toastery in Commack has closed, its owners announced Monday.
The restaurant, at the Mayfair Shopping Center at 10-2020 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, opened last August.
It featured a menu of breakfast, lunch and brunch items.
The owners announced the closing on Facebook, writing,
“Dear Commack Community,
We are sad to share that we have closed our doors to our Commack location permanently. Born on Long Island, we were excited to bring our breakfast, brunch, and lunch specialties to all of you.
While it didn’t work out, we are proud of the food and service we provided over the past year. We are equally proud of our support of the FealGood Foundation when we opened and all the amazing work they given to the first responders community.
We are thankful for each one of you that supported us and hope that if you ever come to the Carolinas, that you visit us in one of our other 30 locations.”
