Huntington Station churches and other organizations are coming together Saturday to assist residents as well as provide services and help.

Pastor Dan Rivera of the Huntington Assembly of God church said the churches are celebrating Hope Day, a national campaign, River said, designed to “put a smile on people’s faces.”

The festival at Manor Field Park will run from noon until 3 p.m. and feature bounce houses, free lunch, provision of community resources, health services, legal help, entertainment, karate demonstrations, music, family portraits, job opportunities, and groceries for those in need.

Helping Hand Rescue Mission is supplying bags of groceries and other help, and was supported in its efforts by the Huntington Matters Facebook group.
