Parades are scheduled around Huntington on Memorial to honor members of the military service who have been lost to war.
The Greenlawn Fire Department is hosting the first parade at 9 a.m. It starts on East Maple Road and Broadway and continues to Broadway/Greenlawn and Pulaski Road.
Other parades are at 10 a.m. at the Elwood/Commack VFW Post 9263, starting at the Home Depot lot; the Centerport Fire Department, also at 10 a.m., from Centershore Road/ Harrison Drive; the Huntington American Legion Post 360 at 11 a.m. from the Huntington Post Office; and Knights of Columubs Post 6893/Father Judge in East Northport at 12:15 p.m., from the IGA parking lot.
