Fogo de Chão Donates $17,215 to Island Harvest Food Bank

Island Harvest Food Bank, Long Island’s leading hunger-relief organization, recently received a $17,215.60 donation from Fogo de Chão as part of the premier Brazilian steakhouse’s grand opening celebration at the Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington, NY. The funds, representing ten percent of the restaurant’s sales, supported approximately 574 Long Island families facing food insecurity during this past holiday season.

“Island Harvest Food Bank is thankful for our partnership with Fogo de Chão and their generous donation,” said Randi Shubin Dresner, president & CEO, Island Harvest Food Bank, at a recent check presentation at Fogo de Chão’s newest Long Island location in Huntington. “Thanks to their support, approximately 574 family meals were provided to our Long Island neighbors in need during the holiday season.”
