Food and Farms Business Expo Set for Nov. 14

A Food and Farms Business Expo, created to link food, beverage and farm businesses with buyers, is set for Tuesday, Nov. 14 to  give vendors the opportunity to showcase, market and sell their products onsite. It also allows buyers to sample and purchase high-quality goods that are grown and made in New York.  The event is also billed as a networking opportunity for participants.

The event will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Long Island Welcome Center in Dix Hills.

Tuesday, November 14, 2018 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau and Suffolk counties and the Suffolk County Alliance of Chambers.

The Taste NY initiative was created in 2013. The program, overseen by the Department of Agriculture and Markets, helps local producers to showcase their goods at venues throughout the state and at large public events.

Taste NY’s food and beverage businesses also support the State’s farmers by using New York grown and produced ingredients in their products.

New York products sold under Taste NY branding are available in more than 70 locations throughout the State as well as the New York State Office of Trade and Tourism in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
