State Sen. Jim Gaughran and Huntington Receiver of Taxes Jillian Guthman will present information on the state tax relief program Friday.
The session, 2 p.m. at the South Huntington Public Library, will cover basic and enhanced STAR programs and senior citizen exemptions.
The School Tax Relief (STAR) program provides eligible homeowners in New York State with relief on their property taxes.

The state tax site indicates that checks were beginning to be mailed in November to homeowners of all eight Huntington school districts.
