A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for the children of Eric Preto who was killed in a car crash Saturday morning on the Long Island Expressway in Melville.
Preto, a John Glenn High School graduate, was killed while returning to his car after an accident but he was hit by a third vehicle. His pregnant wife, Gabriella, and their 2 year old son were slightly injured when a fourth car struck the Preto vehicle.
“This tragedy is absolutely devastating and we’re hoping this account can help with the future expenses of his young children. The family plans to use this money for the college fund and future education of Joey and their child on the way,” the GoFundMe page says.
There is a goal of raising $100,000; as of 6:45 p.m. Monday, more than $43,000 had been raised.
