The quarterly publication of the Greenlawn American Legion Post 1244 has received multiple awards.
The Greenlawn Bugle received second place “Jack R.C. Cann Publication Award” from the National American Legion Press Association.
It was also awarded a third place “Mary B. Howard Award” for the website http://post1244.org
The New York American Legion Press Association awardedThe Greenlawn Bugle a first place award in their state-wide Best Paper Contest. We have won that award nine times in the past 11 years.
The publication is distributed to all members of our Post 1244 American Legion family as well as elected officials, advertisers and many community organizations. The newsletter has helped us to expand our reach to the new generation of Post-911 era veterans, while continuing to inform and assist those veterans who served during earlier conflicts.
